At Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph, we can help you prepare for your job search, find employment and progress in your career.
A decent job is vital to maintaining a healthy, stable life. Part of our mission is to extend the tools and resources necessary to helping vulnerable populations (ex-offenders, those struggling with poverty, seniors, discouraged workers, etc.) find and keep work.
In our Job Skills classes, we provide:
- Employment preparation
- Resume development
- Job search strategies
- Interview coaching
- Networking opportunities/job leads
- Bus passes (as needed)
In today’s job market, “soft skills” are as frequently requested from prospective employers as hard skills, therefore we also provide training in:
- Self-esteem
- Self-advocacy
- Conflict resolution
- Time management
- Job retention strategies
