Tax Credit-Eligible Donations

CC-KCSJ Tax Credit-Eligible Programs: Pregnancy Resource Center, Food Pantry and the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP)*

The state of Missouri offers tax credits in exchange for some types of charitable donations to incent investment in areas that benefit the state’s economy or social welfare. This allows individuals and/or businesses to direct their state income tax to programs they care about.

What’s the difference between a tax credit and a tax deduction? A tax deduction reduces the amount of income you pay taxes on.A tax credit reduces the amount of taxes you owe, dollar-for-dollar.
