We invite the community to the next in our series of Parish Mental Health Ministry Events, this time at St. Elizabeth Kick Off Off The speaker is Julia Kovač, a registered nurse and licensed professional counselor in private practice. She is also an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL), assisting individuals through the healing power of horses.
Through decades of working inpatient psychiatry, she brings direction, tools, and encouragement for advocacy of individuals coping with anxiety or depression, as well as chronic and persistent mental illness. There will be an opportunity to discuss any related topics along this spectrum.
This presentation will consist of practical advocacy tools and resources. It will look at a wide range of mental health diagnosis or challenges, with a focus on those areas of most interest to the participants. We will discover what is happening in the world of counseling and psychiatry as well as the encouraging world of Catholic Psychotherapy.
