Dear friend of Catholic Charities,

I think I speak for all of us when I say, it is without question, the last twelve months have been trying.

We have seen hardship in our work lives, family lives, and in the faces of those we have met. It has been difficult, and at times discouraging, but we trust there is light in the darkness. There must be, for without light, how would we know darkness?

Do you see light at the end of this tunnel?

Hope is our promise, and we are blessed to be in the business of providing hope everyday here at Catholic Charities. Within the pages of this newsletter, you will take a journey.

You will travel through stories and experiences common to many of our clients. It is my hope we are able to convey the client’s struggle and despair. It is my hope we are able to convey the profound courage, faith and renaissance the clients display during their journey with Catholic Charities. The articles from our case managers will be your guide to encourage you to develop a deeper understanding of Catholic Charities’ vital role in transforming lives. We could never do this without you.

The clients we work with everyday are able to access shelter, food and life-changing opportunities because we have your financial and volunteer support, because we have your prayers.

Catholic Charities sparks a light in the darkness for our clients to see possibilities, feel hope. As we journey through their tunnel of darkness, the end and a brighter light is shining. It is up ahead, it is possible.

“Hope is our promise, and we are blessed to be in the business of providing hope everyday here at Catholic Charities. ”

Like the darkness of the global pandemic, the conclusion of winter, the desert of Lent, and the Apostles waiting in the upper room, we have all been entrenched in darkness.

I invite you to immerse yourself in these articles and imagine yourself in the place of our clients.

It is time for us to come out of hiding and into a renewed sense of hope and light.

I am full of gratitude for each and every one of you.

Blessings,
Karen Noel, CEO
