Be A Star Thrower: DONATE

I am so happy, I was just offered a job!

I know it may not seem like a big deal to some people, but it is HUGE to me. I was working with Catholic Charities and their job person Joe, in employment services. He helped me write a resume. He helped proofread my spelling and grammar. We worked on my interview skills. I learned how to talk about all the things that have been holding me back from working recently.

I know it is still the “Pandemic” but I have to find a way out of this hole. Without the help of all of these people at Catholic Charities, I am not sure I could do it. I just don’t think I could figure out where to find a home that I could afford when I didn’t have a job, or even how to find a JOB!!!

We have a plan for my first day, my first week and my first month already. I am so excited to get started. I will work with this company that goes into offices to clean them at night. I don’t mind the work, I even think I will be great at it. I like to clean and I like the feeling of leaving something clean and fresh. I also don’t mind working alone, which I will for the most part. I will have a team of people, which is nice, but I can move a quickly as I want. I like to get right down to it and get the job done. I am not much for messing around. This is going to be great! I will be home to send my kids off to school and when they return. I will bring in some money.

Will this be my job forever? I don’t know. I can’t say, “I don’t care” because I really do care. I don’t see myself doing just this for the rest of my life. I need to make more money than just this, but I am moving on up!
