In the spirit of fun and community, we’re placing a friendly wager: the losing city will send a “hometown favorites” basket to the winner. While, Catholic Charities of Kansas City- St. Joseph has it’s impressive legacy start in 1879!

- 1879: Thomas Edison demonstrated the first electric light bulb, and Kansas City’s first railroad bridge over the Missouri River was completed, transforming commerce in the region.
